Mr Eoin Ó'Conaire
Eoin Ó Conaire is an award-winning chartered physiotherapist and shoulder specialist. Since qualifying from the University of Brighton with first class honours in 1999, he has worked at large London teaching hospitals, elite and sub-elite sport and in private practice. As Musculoskeletal Clinical Lead and lead Extended Scope Practitioner at Central London Community Healthcare, he developed a specialist orthopaedic triage and treatment service and worked clinically in the Upper Limb service. He also set up and ran an ultrasound-guided injection service and in collaboration with Dr Jeremy Lewis developed and validated the first physiotherapy-led arthrographic hydrodistension service for Frozen Shoulder. In 2011 this was awarded funding from the Health Foundation Shine programme for innovations in healthcare.
Academically he has gained an MSc (Advancing Practice) with distinction from the University of Birmingham, been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented his work at international conferences. He was awarded the MACP MSc research prize in 2009 and Central London Community Healthcare therapist of the year in 2011. In 2012 – together with Clinical Psychologist Dr Róisín Joyce – he set up Evidence-Based Therapy Centre, a multi-disciplinary healthcare practice in Galway city. In 2013, Eoin developed the Shoulder Masterclass which he teaches regularly. This distils his clinical and academic knowledge into a two-day highly practical course to help physiotherapists to improve the management of shoulder pain. In 2021 Eoin started his PhD studies investigating physiotherapy for massive irreparable rotator cuff tears under the supervision of Professor Filip Struyf at the University of Antwerp. In 2022, he developed the Psychologically-informed Physiotherapist workshop with Dr Roisin Joyce

Prof. Karen McCreesh
Prof McCreesh is an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapy educator, researcher, clinician, and sonographer. She is an Associate Professor in Physiotherapy at the School of Allied Health at the University of Limerick. She has an extensive track record in shoulder pain research, with over 60 peer reviewed publications, and is rated in the top 10 shoulder experts worldwide by Expertscape. She has been awarded over €1.5m in research funding, and leads a team of 5 PhD and 1 post doctoral researchers within the Health Research Institute at UL.
Prof McCreesh is a founder member and Chair of the Irish Shoulder and Elbow Rehabilitation Society, and member of the Education Committee, European Society of Shoulder and Elbow Rehabilitation.

Mr John D Kelly I
John D. Kelly IV is the proud great grandson of John D. Kelly Sr., from Ballyvourney, Cork. His cousin Joe Kelly still inhabits the farmhouse where his great grandfather was raised.
John D. attended Columbia University in New York where he received the Class of ’19 Football cup to the varsity football player with the highest academic average. Labelled a ‘legitimate pro prospect’ a serious knee injury prompted him to pursue a vocation in medicine. He graduated with Honors at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where he received the Swain Award for ‘easing the burden of fellow students’. He received his Orthopedic Training at the University of Pennsylvania and completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at Temple University where he remained as a faculty member for 19 years. He returned to Penn in 2008 where he serves as Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Director of Shoulder Sports Med. He also is Director of the Throwing Clinic at Penn. His clinical and research interests include disorders of the shoulder, arthritis prevention, diabetes and ‘holistic orthopedics’. He has a profound interest in physician leadership development, well-being and he lectures and has written extensively on matters of wellness and personal balance. He also is a standup comedian and has appeared on ‘Oprah Radio’ and at the Keswick theatre.
Dr. Kelly has served various leadership positions including President of Penn Ortho Society, President of Eastern Ortho Assoc., Board of Trustees Arthroscopy Journal, Board of Directors AANA and Chair of the Ortho Learning Center for AANA. He has received numerous awards for both teaching and clinical excellence. He serves as adjunct faculty in the McNulty Leadership Program at Wharton.
